Our National Anthem and post-race, live entertainment, was provided by Kayla Kroh again this year!!
Kayla Kroh began taking voice and guitar lessons from local educator and performer Heather Sneeringer in August of 2010. These lessons sparked a fire that led Kayla to attempt writing her own songs. With the help of producers Bobby Gentilo and Jason Hoffheins, she got in the studio and brought the songs to life. The result is her first E.P. release entitled "On Your Own". This five song effort combines her songwriting and singing abilities with a talented group of seasoned musicians to create a mature and polished product that belies her young age.
Kayla started honing her craft while performing regularly at an open mic in York hosted by Dennis McCaughey at Maewyn’s on Tuesday evenings. And at the age of 15, her persistence has already started to pay off. She has been a featured performing in Colorado Spring Colorado for the GAWDA National Convention, opened for Bucky Covington at the MDA Music for Muscle benefit held by the Manchester Township Career Firefighters and John Michael Montgomery for a benefit for injured Firefighter Lt Kelley. Kayla was honored to perform the National Anthem for the Jacobus Blast, July 4th and followed by a performance. This coming September she will be a featured artist at MyRuralRadio.com Fall Fest 5!
The future is wide open for Kayla, and she has begun filling her schedule becoming a regular performer at Maewyn’s, Mudhook Brewing Co., Tailgaters, and the list goes on! Be sure to visit www.KaylaKroh.com to keep track of this promising young artist and where you can go see her perform next.
